Nursery Rhyme Orgins, According to the Pools

The other night, Brandon and I were laying in bed, unable to sleep. Of course, I break down singing nursery rhymes, and we wanted to know where they came up with such songs. I am going to tell you, according to the Pools, where they came from.

Pop Goes the Weasel
All around the Mulberry bush
The monkey chases the weasel
The moneky thought 'twas all in fun
Pop! Goes the weasel

*Why was the monkey chasing the weasel? Because the weasel stole the monkeys wallet and he wanted it back.

Humpty Dumpty
Humpty Dumpty sat on the wall
Humpty Dumpty had a great fall
All the King's horses
And all the King's men
Couldn't put Humptey together again!

*What is a Humpty Dumpty and why was he sitting on the wall? We have no earthly idea what a Humpty Dumpty is but he was sitting on the wall spying on the Nazi's.

Jack and Jill
Jack and Jill went up the hill
To have a little fun.
Stupid Jill forgot the pill
And now they have a son.

*Ooops, wrong words.

Jack and Jill
Jack and Jill went up the hill,
To fetch a pail of water;
Jack fell down and broke his crown
And Jill came tumbling after.

*What is a crown and why did he fall down the hill? We decided a crown is your head since you wear a crown on your head. Jill pushed Jack down because she was sick and tired of hearing him complain all the time about climbing that stupid hill!!!
